Boxer Puppy Policy and Contract
Our first and utmost concern is the welfare of the puppies and we reserve the right not to sell a puppy if for any reason we feel the placement is not in the pups best interest. We strive to place our puppies in loving forever homes where they are part of the family.
Below is a copy of our contract for purchasing pet/companion pups and other pertinent information, please read if interested in one of our puppies.We will strive to make your experience of getting your new family member very easy, we will set up all shipping arrangements if necessary and are available for the lifetime of the puppy for assistance should you ever need questions or concerns answered or need to return the pup for any reason at any age. We do not want any of our pups to end up in shelters and feel we are responsible for them for their lifetime.
FULL OR LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION
We do not give BREEDING RIGHTS ( FULL REGISTRATION) out to others who just want to breed. Breeding rights will only be given to those who are actively showing or have shown their dogs. We co-own all breeding/show prospects until they have obtained their championship status. Our show prospects are considerably higher price than a pet puppy. We will be happy to introduce you the the world of show dogs and responsible breeding practices if you so desire to learn and make a difference in the future health and welfare of the boxer breed. Limited registration means you may NOT breed the dog but you can compete in all AKC events except conformation. Conformation showing is for evaluating breeding stock, to prove your dog meets the breed standard before breeding the dogs, by others, qualified judges whether American or International.
We take what we do very serious and this is not a business to make money at at the expense of the animals. Making a profit from the sale of puppies is what puppy mills do, we have never made a profit in breeding our dogs period as the expenses of responsible breeders far out weighs any profit. In our effort to produce our own top quality show dogs there is undoubtably times where pet/companion pups are born and available on a limited basis.We do not condone breeding more and more pet pups, as I bet you have seen possibly hundreds or thousands of boxers for sale on the internet, we'd rather you consider a rescue boxer for your companion as there are enough dogs needing homes out there who would make great companions. WE have rescued more boxers than we have raised in our 40+ years owning and showing our dogs. WE DO HEALTH TESTING ON OUR BREEDING STOCK AND WE KNOW THE HEALTH OF THE GRANDPARENTS AND MOST GGRANDPARENTS OF OUR PUPS SOME AS FAR BACK AS 25 YEARS OR MORE, IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
SHIPPING is available by Puppy Nanny or by Northwest VIP airlines to the closest International Airport to you in the lower 48 states, actual quotes are given prior to shipping your puppy. The Airlines require that the temperature not be above 75 degrees at any arrival or destination point so you will need to be flexible about shipping. Shipping this way requires very early flights and there can be delays due to weather. The Puppy Nannies we use are licensed by the USDA, bonded and insured and are an additional way to get the pup to you should the weather cause us any delays. We encourage our buyers to come here and pick up their new family member in order to see the great environment they are raised in. Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to ship and require a licensed vet to issue an up to date certificate of health which is included.
EAR CROPS ARE AVAILABLE BY LICENSED VET FOR ADDITIONAL $400.00 AND MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL BY THE TIME THE PUPPY IS 8 WEEKS OLD, PUPPIES WHO GET THEIR EARS CROPPED CANNOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL AT LEAST 12 WEEKS OLD. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND CROPPING ON PET PUPPIES, ONLY SHOW PROSPECTS, AS THE EARS MAY NEED ADDITIONAL CARE WHICH IS VERY TIME CONSUMING AND MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL POSTING AND CARE ON YOUR PART. IT IS A COSMETIC SURGERY AND SHOULD BE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY, IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T COMMIT TO POSTING DON'T CROP, AS IT TAKES ON AVERAGE 4 months to a year to get the ears to stand and then there is no guarantee that they will ! The vet we use for crops is Dr. Lowell Rogers in Hattiesburg, MS and we highly recommend him.
